When your Life Insurance may be cancelled

It is worth talking about again. If you have life insurance you need to make sure the policy is active. You never want your life insurance to be cancelled for any reason; unless you know this is happening, of course. Life insurance is an important part of your financial plan, and you should do what you can to keep your policy active at all times.

There are many circumstances in which your life insurance may be cancelled. To start, your term policy can expire. This means that you are no longer covered. You can buy a new policy, but your old one is gone forever. This may not be the same as having your policy "cancelled' but it is something to keep in mind anyway.

What if I do not pay my premium? This is definitely going to lead to the cancellation of your policy. You cannot expect your life insurance company to protect you if you are not paying for your service. It is very important that you know when your payment is due, and that you are never late. If you run into any problem make sure you tell your life insurance company as soon as possible; they may be able to grant you a payment extension.

Is it really a big deal if my life insurance is cancelled? Yes, it is. Some people don't care too much about this because they do not rely on their policy everyday; the same as they would car insurance, for example. But remember, you buy life insurance to protect your family in the event of your death. What is more important than that?

There are many reasons your life insurance may be cancelled. Avoid all of them so you never have to deal with the stress.
